Angelina Wong

Angelina Wong is an alumna from the University of Maryland. She is currently both a substitute teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools and a private beginner-level piano teacher. In 2013, she obtained a BA in Classical Languages and Literatures and had a second major in Historical Linguistics. Since then, she has been studying music performance, composition, and history. Currently, Angelina is completing her first year in the Masters of Library and Information Science program at the University of Maryland. Her career goals are twofold: 1) To adapt ancient music for a contemporary audience and 2) To create an open source database of scholarship pertaining to ancient music.


Angelina believes in building strong foundations in elementary subjects because that knowledge enables students to pursue higher levels of education. Her teaching methodology is to empower students with problem-solving skills in order to facilitate self-learning. Angelina has extensive experience in education for all age groups and various subjects.
