Aileen Mooney
Aileen Mooney is a molecular biologist and epidemiologist with 10 years professional experience as a scientist, consultant, and tutor. She has her undergraduate degree in cell and molecular biology with a minor in Medieval History and a masters in epidemiology. Currently, she is working on her PhD in Public Health. Aileen's first love is biology and enjoys tutoring all students, from elementary students to college. As a student who struggled with learning disabilities, Aileen understands that sometimes concepts need to be presented in different ways before they "click" and incorporates lots of study skills strategies into her lessons. In addition to tutoring science, Aileen enjoys working with students on writing skills and language arts. She believes that good reading and writing skills are quintessential to any subject. In her spare time, Aileen works with animal rescues saving puppies and kitties, chasing her 14 month old, and finding time to travel to developing countries in support of health programs.
