Kate Aubuchon
Our tutor Katarina (better known as Kate) specializes in mathematics (statistics), scientific methods/writing, and psychology. However, she also specializes in areas of reading, writing, cultivating strong study habits, and college preparation/applications. She strongly feels that every student has unique capabilities that can be cultivated through confidence building and epistemophilia (the love of knowledge)!
Kate has completed her second year of doctoral studies at George Washington University in Applied Social Psychology, after she received her B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from Furman University in December 2016. Throughout graduate school as well as undergrad, she served as a teaching assistant for 5+ semesters and finds fulfillment in sharing her love of learning with students. Her research is broadly focused on social and health psychology, but include research on how to mitigate health inequalities through social-behavioral interventions.
