Astear Semaie

I am currently a third year student at the University of Maryland in College Park studying Public Health Science and expect to receive my degree in May 2020. My college coursework includes various classes in chemistry, biology, calculus, anatomy and physiology, psychology, English composition, etc. My past tutoring/teaching experiences include being a teaching assistant at my church and teaching Bible stories, spiritual songs, and Tigrinya. My other past tutoring experiences include helping students who are having difficulty in various classes and students who are speakers of other languages. I tutored these students who are unfamiliar with the English language using concepts which would be easy to understand regardless of their fluency in English. Moreover, I was even better able to assist students who speak Tigrinya by explaining concepts in the language they understand.
