Yelena Stuherck

Yelena is entering her senior year as an undergraduate mechanical engineer at the University of Maryland, College Park. In high school Yelena volunteered for 2 years as a peer mentor for incoming freshman, and tutored elementary age children in various subject areas, mainly math and language arts. Yelena has a passion for inspiring others and values education as a top priority.  Her engineering curriculum has not only allowed her to gain extensive knowledge in math and physics, but also is balanced by English and history courses. Although calculus and science is her specialty, Yelena is flexible in her knowledge and able to provide assistance with multiple levels and subjects. As an engineering student Yelena has learned a lot about time management and organization that she is happy to share with her students in order to maximize their success.
